Ad Hoc Committee Report –                                                   John Gyllin

Communicating our Story: What data elements can we plan ahead for? What does that timeline look ahead?

Legislators looking at DSOs; travel spending

We need to pare down data points to easy to collect data across the system to report back to COP, e.g., Total funds raised in most recent FY: $67 million, total revenues raised in most recent FY: $156 million; total provided to college by foundation; total staffing, compensation, and benefits: $13 million; how much is unrestricted: 94%

Is it feasible to collect all this data every year?

Add data point: Dollars going toward scholarships vs. programmatic costs

Common definitions need to be established so data can be “apples to apples”; John to develop definitions for data points;

John says he was also interested in feedback from DSO roundtables at conference
