OFFICERS

Jackie is the Executive Director of Grants Development at St. Petersburg College. She has over 15 years of experience in grant development, specializing in education and workforce development—including 10 years as member of FCRD. She has a bachelor’s in international business from the University of Michigan.

First Vice Chair– John Gyllin                             gyllinj@seminolestate.edu

John is the Executive Director of the Foundation for Seminole State College of Florida (SSCF). A native of Merritt Island, he has been involved in higher education administration since 1996. His current role includes overall fundraising and development for SSCF and management of the foundation.

Second Vice Chair – Jennifer Peterson          jpeterso@fscj.edu

Jennifer is the Director of Resource Development at Florida State College at Jacksonville. Prior to coming to the college, Jennifer had been employed by the University of Georgia. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and master’s degree from the University of Georgia. Jennifer holds her Grant Professional Certification and her current role includes development of federal, state, corporate, or foundation grant applications.

Secretary – Monica Rodriguez                             mrodri41@mdc.edu

Monica began her career in Resource Development at Miami Dade College in January 2011 as the department’s administrative supervisor.  Now a grant writer, Monica has submitted over $9.5 million in grant applications. She has also served as a proposal reviewer for Miami-Dade County and the Florida Department of State. Monica received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida International University and her Masters in Research Administration from the University of Central Florida.

Treasurer – Judy Green                                judy.green@fldoe.org

Judy serves as the President of the Florida College System Foundation (FCSF). She has served in this position since 2006. She is a community college graduate from Florida South Western State College, formerly Edison Community College, and completed her bachelor’s degree at Florida State University. She works closely with the FCSF board of directors and advocates in the college system to identify statewide partnerships. The Florida College System Foundation will award more than $1,005,000 in scholarship funds to Florida’s 28 college foundations this year.

Cindy is the Director of Grants Development at Indian River State College (IRSC). Cindy began her career at IRSC as a Grants Development Specialist in 2003, and was promoted to Director of Grants Development in 2011. In 2013 she received her master’s degree in research administration from the University of Central Florida.

Ellen E. Burns, Ph.D. is Director of Research, Institutional Effectiveness and Grants at St. Johns River State College. Ellen’s responsibilities include strategic planning, college-wide assessment, institutional research and data analysis as well as grant development and management.  Ellen has over 10 years of experience in grants and more than 20 in higher education, teaching, and administration.  Ellen holds her B.S. in Chemistry from The College of William and Mary and her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The University of California, Los Angeles.

Maureen is the Director of Resource and Grant Development at Palm Beach State College where she specializes in Federal grant development and strategic resource alignment. In her work, she parlays her over 15 years of marketing and sales experience working for large Fortune 500 companies into resource development strategies that are entrepreneurial and out-of-the-box.

Kris Christian                                         Kchristian6@valenciacollege.edu

Kris joined Valencia College in 2012 as Assistant Vice President of the Resource Development Office. She has experience in both public and private organizations. She is has been involved in all aspects of project development and grant closeout. Kris has led teams of people throughout her career and knows that the team process is the key component to development work. Kris has garnered millions of dollars from federal and private funds and promotes the key institutional strategic directions. Kris attended Marian University in Fond du Lac, WI receiving a Bachelor’s of Arts in Education with certification P-8 and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee earning a Master’s degree in Administrative Leadership and Supervision in Education.

Ann serves as the Executive Director of the Indian River State College Foundation. Ann is in charge of all capital campaigns; scholarship fundraising; Take Stock in Children; 194 student apartments; and the Fielden Institute for Lifelong Learning. Ann holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University.

Cristie Kedroski                                kedroskc@nwfsc.edu

Cristie is the Vice President of College Advancement at Northwest Florida State College. She is responsible for leadership and oversight of all functions assigned to the Office of College Advancement, including marketing and public relations, external fundraising, grants development, alumni relations, special events, scholarships, and the NWF State College Foundation. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida and her MBA from the University of West Florida.

William (Bill) Shustowski, Jr.            shustow@phsc.edu

Bill is Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the Pasco-Hernando State College Foundation (PHSC).  He has served as a college administrator for more than 35 years in public and private institutions, 20 of them in development and fundraising.  In addition to managing the PHSC Foundation and its fundraising efforts, he oversees, grants, Take Stock in Children, Performing Arts Series, alumni relations and institutional effectiveness.  Bill has a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin in educational administration, a master’s from Colgate University in college student personnel and a bachelor’s from Assumption College in foreign affairs.

Cleve Warren                                            clwarren@fscj.edu

Cleve is Executive Director of the Florida State College at Jacksonville Foundation and Chief Investment Officer for Florida State College at Jacksonville. Cleve is a native of Jacksonville; having received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of North Florida, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University. Cleve is recognized in the Jacksonville community for his tireless engagement in civic and philanthropic activities, where he serves on the board of a number of local organizations. Cleve is an alumnus of both Leadership Jacksonville and Leadership Florida, and a member of the Northeast Florida Nonprofit Center’s Community Coaches Program. Cleve is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, having served with distinction on active duty in the U.S. Air Force and in the U. S. Army National Guard and Reserve.
